New Moon In Capricorn – Before you cast nets.
From dawn till dusk, they cast their nets into the river, only to pull them back empty. Frustration and despair began to set in as the sun dipped below the horizon, along the banks of the majestic River Nile.
From my aboard, I watched this group of fishermen showing the obvious skill and dedication that have granted them relative success over the years. But on that fateful day, their luck seemed to have to run out.
Just as they were about to give up and head home, a mysterious woman appeared out of the twilight mist. She was unlike anyone they had ever seen, with an aura of calm and wisdom. Without a word, she approached their boat and examined their tattered nets. With deft hands, she began to mend the holes and strengthen the weak spots. The fishermen watched in awe as she worked, her fingers moving with a grace and speed that seemed almost magical.
When she finished, she handed the nets back to the fishermen and spoke in a voice that was both gentle and commanding, “Cast your nets once more into the river.” Though skeptical, the fishermen decided to trust her. They rowed their boat to the middle of the Nile and cast their newly mended nets into the water.
To their astonishment, the nets quickly became heavy with the weight of countless fish. They struggled to pull them back into the boat, laughing and cheering as they realized their fortune had changed. The catch was so abundant that it filled their boat to the brim, and they had to call for help from other fishermen nearby.
As they returned to shore, the mysterious woman was nowhere to be seen. The fishermen had gathered members of the community to witness the presence of a stranger who appeared from nowhere and turned their luck around.
It must be Nile Goddess some suggested, perhaps; Guardian Spirits of the Nile, others quipped, but none ever thought it was the Queen of the Night Sky – The Moon.

From December 31, 2024 to January 5, 2025, the New Moon in Capricorn lights up the sky with hope and adventure. It is the moment when the grind gives way to gold to those who are willing. A real opportunity for great catches. Before you cast your nets, let your boat and fishing nets be magically fixed by the mysterious forces of the Moon whose rise is significantly the last of 2024, and its fall the first of 2025.
OUR RITES/PRACTICE
1. Get a fresh leaf: flower, grass, etc.
2. Hold in your left hand
3. Face the direction of the new moon.
4. Say the prayers below holding the leaf in your right hand:
“Great spirits of the universe, I come to you with respect and gratitude. Guide my hands as I cast my nets into the oceans of treasures. Grant me wisdom to navigate the waters and fill my nets with the fish that You provide.
Grant us a bountiful catch and protect us from the dangers of the sea. May our nets be filled with the abundance of your creation”

5. Find a safe place in your room and keep the leaf. .
