The thought of death is not only scary but also deeply saddening. We often fear and view death as the greatest catastrophe or tragedy.
Growing up, I was extremely scared of the thought of death, believing it was the greatest punishment humanity received. However, a few months ago, life’s turbulences left me feeling that death was what awaited me.
I began to make peace with it and embraced everything about it. Little did I know, this acceptance was the key I needed to become a butterfly.
What if we took a slightly different view and analytically considered death from a positive angle? For instance, to acquire strength, we must endure pain; to rise, we must fall; to learn, we must make mistakes; to evolve, we must release all that limits us.
These are the “deaths” we experience daily in our lives as we grow. Therefore, death is not always a bad thing; rather, it is a pathway to transition and transformation.
A caterpillar cannot become a butterfly if it doesn’t embrace its death. The same applies to us as humans—fear of death limits us from experiencing the freedom and transformation that comes with it.
How many things are you holding onto, knowing fully well they don’t serve you?
What limiting beliefs do you keep trying to justify?
What path are you so scared to take just because it leads you to the unknown or is less traveled?
How many dreams, opportunities, or brilliant ideas will you keep blowing away simply because you are scared of taking risks?
We are in the Scorpio season, a period of transformation, death, and rebirth, just like a phoenix.
You can either choose to remain a caterpillar or transform into a beautiful butterfly!
